We are always looking for volunteers to help us run the Job Forum As a panelist or to help us in manage and run the activities. Volunteer as a Panelist at the Job Forum The Job Forum is fun, rewarding and a prestigious volunteer panel of the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce. The Job Forum is actively interested in considering additional panel members, especially those who have job experience in Engineering, Technology, Finance, Marketing, E-Commerce, Communications, Academia, or Sales (to name a few). Panelists who are interested in helping others to succeed in job search or career transition are encouraged to call, email, or write to the Job Forum c/o www.sfchamber.com, 415-392-4520. You will be contacted by phone first and interviewed. In order to become a panelist, your interest must truly be a volunteer satisfaction. In other words, you must primarily be looking for the satisfaction that comes from the service and encouragement for others and participation in a prestigious Chamber of Commerce group. We do not welcome to the panel individuals whose primary wish is to sell their own or their company's services. Even if you believe you are not knowledgeable enough yet about all aspects of job search (you can be trained and learn by working with other panelists) but you are interested in this kind of direct help of others and you have a "teaching spirit," please call or come to observe a Wednesday session. This volunteer work is very satisfying and gives you a direct line to those who need advice. There is almost no bureaucracy in this organization…only the satisfaction of working with other great people and seeing an immediate "break through" in the job searchers you advise and help. Volunteer to help us manage the Job Forum You may want to participate in the Job Forum and yet not want to commit to being a panelist. We could use someone to help with scheduling panelists, maintaining our member database, helping with PR (on-line and off-line) or maintaining our web site. |
